“It’s the little things.”
A good hair day.
Waking up early and realizing you have hours to sleep.
Clothes fresh out of the dryer.
Finding money in your pocket that you forgot about.
Paying for a small drink, but getting a large.
Perfectly separating an Oreo.
I love the smell and sound of opening a new container of tennis balls.
And… taking off my bra at the end of the day (I had to. Ladies, you understand).
This last weekend my friend and I were searching for things to do that were fun yet inexpensive. Instead of spending money or watching Netflix, we had the idea to write encouraging sayings on 100 post it notes and stick them on random cars. That we did- $2.50 for a pack of post it notes and just a bit of gas to make it to Walmart, Price Chopper, Starbucks and the movie theater. Our intentions were simply to create that “little thing” and maybe make someone’s day an ounce better.
The little joys in life don’t have to cost (barely) anything.
